ICCP Anodes
ICCP Anodes or Impressed Current Cathodic Protection.
Two types of impressed current anodes are mainly used on ships: attached and recessed anodes, which are fixed flush with the ships side. Attached anodes provide one major advantage in regards to low grounding resistance for the protection current. The disadvantage is that the body is exposed on the ships side and could easily be mechanically damaged.
We can offer our clients both linear and round ICCP anodes.
Impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) anodes have been developed for protection of ships using non-consumables inert electrodes in systems. Lead- silver alloy anode are being used for majority of Naval ships while platinised titanium anode are being used in Naval ships requiring higher current density.
