ICCP Ships

ICCP Ships - NoCor®

Two types of impressed current anodes are mainly used on ships: attached and recessed anodes, which are fixed flush with the ships side. Attached anodes provide one major advantage in regards to low grounding resistance for the protection current. The disadvantage is that the body is exposed on the ships side and could easily be mechanically damaged.

Impressed Current Cathodic Protection for Ships

Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) is a well-proven method for combating corrosion. By applying a controlled electrical current, ICCP effectively transforms the entire hull surface into a cathodic surface, actively preventing the corrosion process.

One of the most prominent advantages of ICCP, compared to traditional sacrificial anodes, is the system's ability to dynamically adjust the current output to provide continuous and tailored protection under changing conditions. This is particularly beneficial for vessels navigating through diverse global waters.

Implementing ICCP not only ensures long-term and effective protection against corrosion but also significantly contributes to extending the vessel's lifespan and reducing maintenance costs.

By choosing ICCP for corrosion protection, shipping companies and shipbuilders invest in advanced technology that not only safeguards their assets but also promotes a more sustainable maritime industry in the long term.
ICCP system for ships

Anodes and systems for ICCP ships

ICCP systems rely on high-quality anodes and control units to deliver precise and consistent protection against hull corrosion. ICCP ensures long-term durability and reduced maintenance for ships operating in harsh marine environments.

ICCP Anodes

The anodes are a critical component in the ICCP systems, delivering controlled current to protect a ship’s hull from corrosion in an efficient and long-lasting manner.

ICCP System

The ICCP system ensures optimal corrosion protection for ships by providing a consistent and adjustable current, extending the lifespan of hull structures while reducing maintenance costs.

Measuring Equipment

The measurement equipment is essential for monitoring the performance of ICCP systems, ensuring accurate current output and optimal protection of the ship's hull against corrosion.
